Outdoor Bowling Club
Has been around now for over 100 years with the outdoor club opening in 1922 and the indoor facility added in 1988.
Set in a pleasantly leafy arena we have a full-size, 6-rink, 'A' class green available for outdoor play from mid-April until the end of September, with play usually from 12:00 onwards. Our full-sized 6 rink indoor facility provides
All-year round bowling, including most bank holidays, from 9.30am to 9pm. The indoor 'season' for winter leagues starts in early October and runs through until April, with friendly roll-ups and summer leagues filling the gap.

We cater for all bowling spirits : competitive - for club/individual, county and national competitions - improvers: for competing and testing yourself in whatever takes your fancy, such as club friendly matches - fun/social bowlers, for simply enjoying meeting others for a fun friendly bowl - and of course new/learner bowlers and juniors.
Bowling is no longer an 'Old Man's game' !! If you'd like to try out the game there's no need to wait for one of our 2 annual open days in May/September - just call the club and we'll arrange for you to have a couple of free starter sessions with one of our club coaches, just bring yourself. Juniors are welcome from age 8 upwards.
